As we have now established, that has sadly not fixed the problem. This was the same CiderBuild from my previous version of Spore (the one we deleted) and the reason why I went thru the trouble of re-downloading the game. Note that my CiderBuild is (still) 2756. According to what I read here -> - The CiderBuild number should be 2535 if the game is patched to version 4.

Stephen, please note that it is suggested on the Spore site that we should update the game using Patch 5.1, and that we should check to see what our CiderBuild number is. Hardware UUID: XXXXXX-CE9C-XXXX-B51A-01XXXXXXX Here's my IMac's info to help you diagnoze the problem - If needed, please pass this info along to a Technician capable of working out a solution.
Sadly, after re-downloading the game and appling the 6 patches that it asked me to download to patch the game, it crashes the minute the Splashscreen pops up, so I've solved nothing at all and am still unable to play the game on my new computer. The representative was great and very helpful. I'm currently downloading Spore again, but I had to resort to speaking to a customer representative on the phone to get the download link reactivated. Since I'm on a Mac, could there be a keyboard combo that may give me the option to reset a game to be downloaded again? Just wondering. I am currently playing SC and perhaps that's why it has 3 options more than the other games. Simcity has 3 more options, including un-install, check for update and repair install. No download option on any of my games except SC.
What it does give me is a pop-up window with several options including play, show game details, game properties, add to faves and hide. Right clicking on a game (in the Origin application) does not give me a download option. Hi Stephen, I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my question.
